Peacefully, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton, Ont., on Friday, June 13, 2008, Margaret Doris Currie in her 87th year. Originally from Cape Wolfe, P.E.I., daughter of the late Bernard and Teresa Reilly. Beloved wife of the late Reginald Currie. Dearly loved mother of Leland and his wife Dianne. Devoted Grammie of Katharine, Kristen, Mark and his wife Jen and Great-Grammie of Matthew, all of Hamilton, Ont. Doris will be greatly missed by her surviving sisters and brothers: Winnifred and her husband Lorne K. Shaw, O'Leary, P.E.I.; William, Halifax, N.S.; Howard, New Glasgow, N.S.; Irma Allen, Mae and her husband Arthur Wedge all of Hamilton, Ont.; James and his wife Janet , Burton, P.E.I.; Eileen and her husband Dale McKenna, Elmsdale, P.E.I.; Rhoda and her husband Frank McCarvell of Hamilton, Ont.; brothers-in-law, Alfred O'Connor, Hamilton, Ont.; Emmett Griffin, Brocton, P.E.I.; Wesley Currie and his wife Olive, Summerside, P.E.I.; as well as sisters-in-law, Theresa Reilly, Hamilton, Ont.; Helen Reilly, Charlottetown, P.E.I. and Vera Campbell, Saint John, N.B. Doris was predeceased by her sister Annie O'Connor, Hamilton, Ont., and Phyllis Griffin, Brocton, P.E.I.; and by brothers Thomas, Cape Wolfe, P.E.I.; Charles, Halifax, N.S.; Vernon, O'Leary, P.E.I.; and Willis, Hamilton, Ont. Doris was much-loved by many nieces and nephews, and by many former students that she taught in West Point, Springfield and Cape Wolfe schools. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary where family will receive friends Thursday, June 19, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 9:45 a.m. then to St. Mark's Church, Burton Lot 7 for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
