GRACE MARIAN ARUNDEL June 27th, 1935 - January 24th, 2007 "Life is for the living" It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Grace Marian Arundel of Kamloops, BC with her family at her side. Grace is survived by her mother Edna Arnold; children Bruce (Shelley), Earl (Karen), Rosemary Saint Michaels and Sheila (John) Sutton; as well as 11 grandchildren - Shawn, Pamela (Ben) Boileau, James, Christopher, Robin, Kalena, Robert, Teri, Victoria, Cora and Nicholas; and brothers John (Shirley) Arnold and Rodney (Della) Arnold. She was predeceased by her father Fred Arnold in 1996. Grace was born in Nakusp, BC. She and the family moved to Kamloops from Lumby in mid-September 1944. She was a member of the first graduating class of Kamloops Senior Secondary. Following graduation she went into the banking industry, first with the Royal Bank of Canada, and after the birth of the last of her four children (Sheila), went to work at the Bank of Montreal at branches in Kamloops, Winnipeg, Vancouver and Kamloops again where she retired when she was 60. Her love of travel took her many places. Her touring with Wells Gray was a source of many memorable trips and always greatly anticipated. She will be sorry to have missed the upcoming 35th Anniversary Cruise. She was a long time member of the Kamloops Fifth Wheelers Singles Club, having held all executive positions at one time or another. She loved her family and treasured her many friendships, keeping in contact with all she knew and had travelled with. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Cathedral, 360 Nicola St., Kamloops, BC on Monday, January 29th, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Dan Hines officiating. Special thanks to the nurses on 3-West at RIH, her family physician Dr. Roy Haugen (the quarterback) and Gail Hawke of Nightingale Medical Supplies of Vernon, BC.
