The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 of Mrs. Bertha Gormley of Charlottetown, age 77 years.
Beloved wife of the late Frank B. Gormley, and dear mother of Kim (Dale) Murphy, Glen Allen (deceased), Frankie Gormley (Roxanne Doyle), Fran Gormley, Lynne Smallman, Barb Gormley, Paula Gormley, David (Denise) Gormley, and Bruce Gormley. She will also be lovingly remembered by 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Mary (Clee) Gillis, Beatrice Doucette and Betty Ann (Ken) Lovejoy; sisters-in-law Beryl Egan and Mary Egan; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Victor and Lucy (Gallant) Egan; brothers Norman, Carl and Eric Egan; sister-in-law Evelyn Egan; and brother-in-law Donnie Doucette.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10:15 Friday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10:30. Interment later in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
