Alice "Maude" Trafford
TRAFFORD, ALICE "MAUDE" - Alice “Maude” Trafford passed away at the Upper River Valley Hospital on March 29 at the age of 83. Maude was born April 30, 1928 in Bristol, New Brunswick, and was the daughter of Sam and Gladys Darkis. She lived in Bristol and graduated from high school in 1945. Maude attended Secretarial School in Wolfville, Nova Scotia and worked in Connecticut before her marriage. Maude married Don Trafford on November 4, 1950 and lived in Connell, New Brunswick, on the Trafford family farm for the rest of her life. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Don, 3 children, Donna of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ivan (Paula) of Connell, New Brunswick and David (Joyce) of Florenceville, New Brunswick, five wonderful grandchildren who were her world. Shannon Black (Ben), Samuel Casey, Jessica Trafford, Brittany Trafford and John Trafford. Maude is also survived by her brother George Darkis and many nieces and nephews. Maude was predeceased by her mother, father and infant brother. Maude was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by her many friends and family.
