Peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, of Karen Mae (Champion) Condon of Pleasant St., Kensington, aged 53 years. Born in Summerside on Oct. 9, 1958, daughter of the late Clarence and Mae (Simmonds) Champion. Wife of Charles "Charlie" Condon. Mother of Jason (April) Condon, Mount Herbert, and Amanda (Mandy) Condon (Kerry Coolen) Leamington, Ont., and her pride and joy, granddaughter Chloe Condon. Her children by choice: Brad Wall, Sarah Mehl and Jason Costain, who called her Mom. Sister of Nancy (Frank) McQuaid, Cornwall; Bonnie (Lloyd) Pickering, Sea View; Marlene (James) Greenlaw, Summerside; and Terry (Mary Jane) Champion, Darnley. Her brother by choice Joseph Pidgeon. Sister-in-law of Reginald, James, Donald (Sharon) Condon, all of Kensington, and Bernadine Boylan (late Ronald), East Bideford. Niece of Willis (Norma) Silliker, Dianne Silliker, Minnie Reeves (Ernest Carr), Nancy (Earl) MacKenzie, Muriel Stavert (Jim Wall). Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, special family friend and Jason's mother-in-law, Peggy Clowater. Predeceased by brother Clarence William in infancy and brother by choice Ron Gallant, sisters-in-law Isabelle Pollard and Rosemary Moase, brothers-in-law Spurgeon Pollard, John Moase, John W. (Jack) and Roger Condon. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Wednesday, April 25, from 6-9 p.m. Karen's request is for everyone to dress casual. Funeral Thursday, April 26, in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment in People's Cemetery, Malpeque.
