It is with great sadness that the family of the late Garfield Parsons announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit in the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday April 24, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 45 years Sadie Parsons of McIver’s, NL, daughter Sandra (Gary) McCarthy of Meadows, NL, sons Owen (Jennifer) of Deer Lake, NL, Marvin (Tracey) of St. Johns, NL, Frazer (Bobbie Ann) of McIver’s, NL, grandchildren Ryan, Nathan, Kevin, Alicia, Mackenzie, Emma, Brittany, Hunter, Madison, Sam, sisters Hazel (Loyal) Parsons, Dolly (Gerald) Ruth, Evelyn (Mike) Bruce, Mary (Malcolm) Fradsham, June (Eldon) Earle, Lucy (Steve) Sacrey, Trudy (Shawn) Ricketts, Lana (Walter) Ponte, brothers Freeman (Desiree), Vincent (Sheila), Carl (Pat), Perry (Liz), Norman (April), sister-in-laws Alma (Bob) Joyce, Theresa Park, Emma Park, Ada Park, Elsie Park, brother-in-laws Austin (Linda) Park, John (Mae) Park, Bradley (Charlotte) Park, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by parents Avril & Chesley Parsons, Brother Max, Sister Betty, mother and father-in-law Nora and Murdock Park, sister-in-law Goldie Parsons, bothers-in-law Philip Park and Elwin Park. Visitation will take place at Epiphany Anglican Church, McIver’s on Wednesday April 25, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday April 26, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday April 27, 2012, 2:00 p.m. from Epiphany Anglican Church, McIver’s at 2 p.m. with Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating, interment to follow at Epiphany Anglican Church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted of donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital. The family guest book may be signed or memorial donations may be made by visiting our website at www.country-haven.ca. The family extends a sincere thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital for their tremendous support and kindness.
