ZIETSOV On October 25, 2007 Mrs. Mabel Zietsov passed away at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home at the age of 79 years. She was predeceased by her sons Peter and Andy, her parents Peter and Florence Kootnikoff, her brother Peter, her sister Katie, her in laws Bill and Molly Zietsov and two sisters in law Jean Zietsov and Mary Kazikoff. She is survived by her loving husband Pete, her son Allen (Hilda) and their daughter Jenna; and her daughter Natalie (Ken) Fenrick and their children Tracy Mytron and Brad; and her great grandchildren Bailey, Bree, Zack and Darren. Mabel was born on February 23, 1928 in Brilliant, B.C. and went to school in South Slocan, B.C. She met and married Pete Zietsov in 1947. Through this union they were blessed with four children. Mom worked in the restaurant industry for many years in the Chase and Kamloops areas. She loved cooking and entertaining for family and friends. Mom also enjoyed gardening and her little trips to the casino. Camping was also a great part of her life. Family meant everything to her. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Mabel will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street.
