Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital with his loving family by his side, on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2008, of Richard "Ricky" Joseph Blanchard of Crapaud, aged 49 years. Dear husband of Debbie (nee Donahue) Blanchard. Loving father of Angela (Chris Lim), Kingston, Ont., and Tara (Chris Shaw), Kelly's Cross. Dear son of Eddie and Grace Blanchard of Howlan, P.E.I., and brother of Sharon Nelson, Summerside; Kenny (Carol O'Brien), Oshawa, Ont., and David, Summerside. Also survived by mother-in-law, Thelma Donahue, Roseville, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne (Sherry) Roseville; Marie (Stan), Saint John, N.B.; Joan (John) Oliver, Summerside; Carl, Roseville; Louis (Cecile), Roseville; Norma (Mike), Summerside; Stephen (Gretchen), Campbellton; Darryl (Darlene), Bloomfield and Rodney (Brenda Lee) of Bloomfield. Predeceased by his daughter, Melissa Dawn in infancy, niece Amber Morrell, and father-in-law, Gregory Donahue. Resting at the Dawson Funeral Home, Crapaud, until Wednesday, Sept. 10, then to St. Joseph's Church, Kelly's Cross for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visiting hours at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. If so desired memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince County Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
