Arthur Raymond Nicholson Jr., 66, North River, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2013 surrounded by his family in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Antigonish, he was the son of Rita (DeCoste) and the late Arthur Raymond Nicholson Sr. He was one who loved his family and the simpler things in life.
He will be sadly missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Maureen (Keay); daughters, Angela (Carl) Hausman, Lower Sackville, Beth (Chris) LeBlanc, Jasper, Alta.; son, Andrew (Crystal Daniel), Lloydminster, Sask.; sisters: Diane (John), Carol (Sandy), Marie (Tim), Margaret (Bruce); brother, Joe; grandchildren: Faith, Owen, Gage, Cache, Claire; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 23 from 2-4 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help defray funeral costs or to a charity of choice.
