The death occurred surrounded by her loving family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, March 29, 2013, of Doreen Hicken, of Summerside, aged 70 years. Born in Port Borden, she was the daughter of the late Camille and Yvonne (Arsenault) Arsenault. Survived by her husband of 50 years, Heath Hicken; children Ronnie (Donna), Beth Thompson (Terry Gallant), Michael (Debbie) and Laurie (Darren) McQuaid; grandchildren Ryan, Tara, Andrew, Sarah, Jeffery, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jessica and Ashley; great-grandsons Hunter and Kashton; brothers and sisters Una Cooper, Sister Elaine Arsenault, Terry (Lil) Arsenault, Judy (Ronnie) DesRoche, Alan (Carol) Arsenault, Eileen Eade, Sally (Dean) Paynter and Paul (Sandra) Arsenault. Predeceased by her brothers Gerald and Junior Arsenault. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will later take place in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Seven Mile Bay. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit of Prince County Hospital or to Integrated Palliative Care would be appreciated.
