It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan Jamieson announces her peaceful passing on Monday, April 1, 2013 at her home in St. John’s in her 92nd year. She was born on Merasheen Island, and was predeceased by her husbands: John Dinn and Edward Jamieson; grand-daughter Michelle and daughters-in-law: Cheryl and Catherine. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are son Donald (Virginia Olsen); daughters: Jacqueline (Bruce LeGrow), Sharon (Carson Leonard), and son Gary (Marg), and grandchildren: Michael Dinn, Stephen (Julie) Dinn, Jennifer (LeGrow) (Rick Delorme), Renee LeGrow (Craig MacTavish), Teri (LeGrow) (Colin MacDonald), Allison Leonard (Mike Forbes), David (Sara Hewitt) Leonard, Chris Dinn, Matthew Dinn (Ashley Andrews); her great-grandchildren: Jaxen, Kendyl, Parker and Grayson; many nieces and nephews, and her circle of relatives and friends from St. John’s to Placentia Bay. A special thanks to her very good neighbours: Frank, Kathie and Jeremy, and her home support worker Lana Stephenson. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, Thursday April 4th from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the Corpus Christi Church, Waterford bridge Road. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Corpus Christi Church.
