Ellen Gaynes
GAYNES, ELLEN MARY - The passing of Ellen Gaynes occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home on Saturday, May 18, 2013 after a period of failing health. She was born on June 30, 1920 in Saint John to the late Walter and Mabel (London) Gaynes. Ellen worked for Centracare for many years until her retirement. She was a former member of Holy Trinity Parish and a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the CWL. Ellen also served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in her youth. She is survived by her sister, Edna Gaynes of Saint John; and her special friends, the Goguen Family. Ellen was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Jean.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday from 1 to 4 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 91 Waterloo Street on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 12:10 pm. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
