Very peacefully at the MacMillan Lodge on Thursday, August 29, 2013 of Mrs. Eva Mahar (nee DesRoches) of Charlottetown, age 93 years.
Beloved wife of the late Pat Mahar, and loving mother of David (Marnie), Glen (Barb), and Mike (Roxanne) Mahar. She is also survived by 13 loving grandchildren, Stephen, Derek, Terry, Aaron, Chris, Krystle, Shawn, Shane, Cory, Adam, Katie, Matthew, and Jonathan; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Madeleine Bartoszynski; and son-in-law, Kenny Gauthier. She was predeceased by son, Terry (Marie); daughter, Patricia "Tush" Gauthier; parents, Fidele and Mary (Arsenault) DesRoches; brothers and sisters, Alphonse, Emmett, Donat, Matt, Cyrus, Felix, Mary, Joey, Ida and Judy.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan's Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visiting hours on Friday from 5-8 p.m.
