NORTHRUP, HAROLD RAYMOND - Harold Raymond Northrup, 83 years old, of Quispamsis, passed away on January 25, 2014. Harold was born in Saint John, N.B. on August 16, 1930. He graduated from St. Vincent’s Boys High School and continued his education to receive degrees from Queens University and University of New Brunswick. Harold was married to Shirley Edna Phillips on August 16, 1951; they were married 63 years. Harold was a teacher at St Malachy's High School, Saint John High School and Milledgeville North High School for 35 years. He enjoyed gardening, reading, wood working, building model ships, hunting, fishing, canoeing, boating and passing the days with his wife Shirley. Harold is survived by his wife Shirley, several grand and great grandchildren, brother Conrad (Cathy) and sister Cecil Ann, children David (Christine), Mark (Carla), Christopher (Kim) and Kevin (Carolyn), and nieces and nephews. Harold is preceded in death by both of his parents Cecil and Edna, his brother Gregory and daughter Heather.
Harold's body has been donated to medical science. At Harold's request, there will be no visitation of funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to a charity of your choice.
