Rosalie Madonna Quigley

Rosalie Madonna Quigley

Our hearts are filled with deep gratitude for the numerous ways our mother’s life was honoured following her sudden death on January 10, 2014 at our family home in Corner Brook. Thank you to all who sent Mass and condolence cards, flowers, telephone messages, e-mails and facebook messages, and to all who made donations in Mom’s name to the charity of your choice. Thank you, too, for the many gifts of food that sustained us during the sad days following her death. As well, we deeply appreciate the support of your presence at the funeral home and again at her Mass of Christian Burial.

Family meant a great deal to Mom. She would have been so very proud of the all the nieces and nephews, (our cousins) who came to be with us and those who could not be with us but sent their love and support to us from across the province and country. We love you all and are grateful for the place Mom held in your lives.

To Father Ed Terry and Monsignor Jim Robertson we express our thanks and appreciation for the beautiful Funeral Mass celebrated for Mom honouring her life as a faithful parishioner of All Hallows Parish. Thank you, to the choir members who added a deep sense of the sacred by your beautiful and heartfelt singing at Mom’s Mass.

We are equally grateful to the All Hallows Ladies’ Guild for providing the wonderful refreshments and for giving us yet another opportunity to meet with Mom’s friends and to hear all those wonderful stories they shared with us.

Thank you to Agnes McCarthy of the All Hallows Bereavement Team for your sensitive and personal touch in preparing Mom’s farewell liturgy and to Fillatre’s Funeral Home for your professional service and attentiveness to us at this time of sadness and grief. A very special and grateful thank you to Dr. David Coleman who so wonderfully attended to all Mom’s medical needs for so many years and who did so with a sense of kindness and compassion.

Mom always referred to her family as her “Brick Wall” on which she could lean for love and support during her times of trouble and stress. With deep love we thank our Carey & Quigley aunts and uncles for the outpouring of strength, support and love during this very difficult time. Thank you for being our Brick Wall.

We are deeply saddened by our mother’s death, but we are consoled and strengthened by the gift of her life and for support that we have experienced during these days as we come to terms with our loss. Thank you to each person who, in your own special way, brought us consolation and support. God Bless You.

Paul, David, Brenda and Families.
