Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, of Elmer Peters of 29 MacDonald Dr., Stratford, age 94 years. Beloved husband of the late Gertie Peters (nee Gallant) and loving father of Carol Peters, Louis Peters (Louise), Betty Lou Munn (Barry) and Frank Peters (Margaret). Elmer is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael, Ricky, Paul, Todd, Charlene, Dawn, Kenneth and Wade; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Peters (Betty) and Arnold Peters (Kris); and sisters, Eleanor Blacquiere (Ferdie - deceased), Ella Mae Gallant (Alphonse - deceased), Helen Doiron (Edward -deceased), Irene Gallant (Leo - deceased), Margaret Gauthier (Francis) and Eunice Gillis (John). He was predeceased by his son, Vernon Peters; brothers, Alban, Clarence, Reginald and Junior; and sisters, Rita Gauthier and Clarice Buote. Resting at the Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Wednesday, November 19, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 20, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
