Linda (O'Handley) Aikens
It is with heartfelt thanks and love we the family, of Linda (O’Handley) Aikens wish to convey our gratitude for the outpouring of well wishes, cards, money, food and support shown during this extremely difficult time of loss. Many thanks, to those who sent flowers, memorial donations and online condolences it meant so much. Mon would have been so humbled to have known she touched so many lives. She meant so much too so many. She was the best Mom, loving Wife and truest friend. Thank you to the Palliative Care Unit and Cancer Clinic at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Thank you Dr. MacCormack, Dr. E. MacMullin, Laurie, Adele and team you were so kind and understanding. Thanks to Father Paul Abbass for the comfort and kind words, to Mom’s Godchildren Ray Aikens and Meaghan O’Handley for the beautiful readings. Thank you to the Boisdale Choir for the lovely hymns and especially to Gerald and Sandra O’Handley and the Boisdale Fire Hall for the wonderful celebration of life. To Peter Walsh and staff as W.J. Dooley Home you made things just a little easier. Thank you to the many family members who spent countless hours with Mom when she was ill, she appreciated every visit. A very special Thank You, to Carol and Fred Martell who were there before, during and after; thank you for being Mom’s best friends. She has the best times and most laughter with friends, with her co-workers and the residents at New Dawn Guest Home; Mom loved to laugh and she did so often especially with the Aikens and O’Handley families. During her last few months you were all there for her and for us and we thank you.
