FLYNN, Laurie Donald, age 77, of Windsor, NS, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2014 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on November 2, 1936 in Wentworth, NS, he was the son of the late Ainslie and Marie (McDonald) Flynn. He worked several jobs during his life, and had a great love for horses, bluegrass and fiddle music. Laurie is survived by his wife Catherine (Croft) Flynn, son Laurie J. (Rita), Martock; grandchildren James and Kris Flynn; sister Beatrice (Bill) Walsh, Falmouth; half-brothers Mike (Betty) Flynn, Sackville, and Sandy (Michelle) Flynn, Falmouth; half-sister Velvet (Edward) Porter, McKay Section; step-children Kevin (Deborah) Caldwell, Falmouth, Darrell Caldwell, Ontario, Leslie (Ian) MacKay, Ontario; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Laurie was predeceased by several sisters, one brother, and a daughter in infancy. Laurie will be well missed by family and friends. Cremation has taken place and a graveside committal service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the St.Croix Cemetery, St. Croix with Rev. Garnet Parker officating.
