Dorothy Beatrice Brown passed away on July 14, 2014 at Chateau St. Michaels in Moose Jaw at the age of 94. She was born in Calgary, AB on July 11, 1920 and moved to Regina then to Moose Jaw where she spent most of her life except for 18 years in Winnipeg. She worked for Robin Hood Multifoods for 44 years. She was a long-time member of Zion United Church and a faithful choir member. Her main interests were sports, music, oil painting and her friends. In her younger days she had been City Champ at both the Tennis Club and the Badminton Club. Predeceased by her parents Eva and Charles Brown, sister-in-law Elsie Brown and brother Charles. She is lovingly remembered by her brother Sam (Marge); niece Arlene Bisskey (Dave); nephews Chuck (Donna) and Garry (Sharon); great-nephews and nieces Kristin, Jeffrey, Ashley, Matthew, Michael, Sammy and Adam. A Memorial Service will be held at W. J. Jones and Son Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., on Monday July 21, 2014 at 1:30PM. Rev. Doug Hallman will officiate. Interment will take place Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to Zion United Church. In living memory of Dorothy, a memorial planting will be made by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
