The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, December 22, 2008, of Mrs. Matilda “Tillie” MacLean (nee Pineau) of Corrigan Home and formerly of Queen Street. Aged 79 years. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Allie MacLean. Dear mother of Bobbie (Glady) MacLean, Flo (Doug MacNeill), David (Mary) MacLean, Marie (Wilbert Gauthier) MacLean, Terry (Charlie) MacLean. Tillie is also fondly remembered by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Helen (Roger) MacLaren; brothers George Pineau and Harold (Sheila) Pineau; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son John MacLean. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home, from where funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment to take place later in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. If so desired, memorials in Tillie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of P.E.I.
