The death occurred at her residence, Regina House, Corran Ban, on Wednesday, January 7, 2009, of Sister Rose Marie O’Hanley (Sister Mary Alexander) Sister of the Congregation of St. Mary, age 79 years. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Mary (MacIsaac) O’Hanley. Sister Rose is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Stashie MacAdam and Leah O’Hanley, and brother Billy O’Hanley. She was predeceased by brothers Dr. Hubert, Joseph and Jerry O’Hanley. Transferred from the Hennessey Funeral Home to the parlour of Mount St. Mary’s for visitation Friday, January 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated from the chapel of Mount St. Mary’s Saturday, January 10, at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later in Mount St. Mary’s Congregation Cemetery.
