Age 68. It is with heavy hearts that we, his family, announce his passing on December 25th, 2014 at St. Clare's Hospital surrounded by those he loved so much. Predeceased by his father Tom and mother Rose (English) Puddicombe. Left to mourn, his loving wife and best friend Debbie, loving father to daughter Karen Clark (Colin) and son Adam (Lisa), and his precious grandsons Ryan and Owen Clark, which he treasured so much; his brothers Tommy (Roxanne), Basil (Jeanie), Charlie (Marie) and Danny (Marilyn), who was constantly by his side through his illness, and his sisters Frances Hatfield (predeceased by husband George), Rose Marie Pittman (Ian), Sadie Young (Keith) and Mary; brother-in-law David Ryan (Fern) and sister-in-law Marilyn Puddicombe; Best Buddy Bob Thornhill and wife Sheila; special friends Bernie and Barb Short and their children, Bud and Cecilia Mesh, Harold and Rhonda Noseworthy, Wayne and Janice Clarke, and many more; nieces and nephews Jeff, Jennifer, Kimberley, Amanda, Dana, Rodney, Stephen, Nicole, Christopher, Andrew, Danielle, Matthew, Bradley, Trevor, Lisa, Jillian, Krista, Sean and Laura, Kelly, Mandy and Cindi, and a large circle of family and friends, including Florida friends. He was a retired employee from the City of St. John's. Leo was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Loved by all, he was the "perfect gentleman in every way." Funeral arrangements entrusted to Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 1-3 and 7-9 PM and on Sunday from 1-3 and 7-9 PM. There will be a service to celebrate his life at First United Church, Park Ave., Mount Pearl on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2 PM. Cremation will follow and a family burial at a later date. Flowers will be gratefully accepted or memories in his name may be made to Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society-NL or a charity of your choice.
