Winnifred Irene Jayne – Age 83, passed away February 10th, 2015 peacefully at home with her daughters by her side. Winnifred enjoyed knitting and playing cards with friends. She loved spending time with her family and loved her cats. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Peter) Fraser, Digby; Mary Lou (Brent) Murphy, Yellowknife; son, Donald Jayne, Yarmouth; grandchildren, Mark (April) Jayne; Sarah (Matthew) Theriault, Daniel Fraser, Brendan (Jessica) Murphy, Natalie Murphy; great grandchildren, Cooper, Sadie, Sarah, Michael, Lucas, Justin, several nieces and nephews. Winnifred was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Dora (Muise) Williams; husband, Donald Jayne; son, Joseph; daughter in-law, June Jayne; sister, Louise Powers; brothers, Donald, Ralph, Charlie. Visitation was 2-4 and 7-9, Thursday February 12th, from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (245-2525). Funeral mass was at 11am, Saturday February 14 from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Digby.
