WESTBURY, Doreen (Dorie) Rose Westbury, 60, of Swift Current passed away August 6, 2015. The memorial service was held at 2:00 pm, August 13th, 2015 from First United Church with Shirley Wilson. Eulogists were Jamie LaChance and Courtney Blodgett. Ushers were Neil Martens, Rod Hoshowsky, Craig Johnson, and Blair Golden. The Honouary Guard: Len's Plumbing and Heating and Pioneer Co-op Plumbing and Heating. The pallbearers were Brad Westbury, Jason Hayes, Jamie LaChance, Cam Schultz, John LaChance, and Josh Cooper. Dorie is survived by: Her loving husband, Wayne Westbury; their children: Charmaine, Tom (Brandy), Damien (Darla), Devin (Ryan), and Shawn (Erin). The loves of her life, her grandchildren: Kyler, Alex, Dylan, Henry and Leo. Six sisters: Bea Himmler, Audrey Risso, Grace (Craig) Hayes, Muriel Miller, Kathy (James) LaChance, Charlene (Todd) Cooper; and one brother, John Miller. Mother-in-law June Westbury, brother-in-law Brian (Linda) Westbury, and sister-in-law Jean Bowie (Jack). Twenty nieces and nephews, 34 great nieces and nephews, and three great great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her Parents, James and Lillian Miller; two brothers, Thomas and William Miller; father-in-law Bud Westbury, and brother-in-law Blaine Westbury. Dorie was born March 5th, 1955 in Calgary, Alberta, and married Wayne on April 3rd, 1981. Dorie and Wayne, and the five children, moved to Swift Current, Saskatchewan in 1984. Dorie served her community for many years. She was actively involved in her children and grandchildren's schools. She supported her children's passion for sports, both as a fan and a volunteer. She was well known at the ball fields, the arenas, the sports fields, the school gymnasiums and the Rec Centre. Dorie was a hard worker and took great pride in doing a job well done. Most recently, Dorie worked at Len's Plumbing and Heating alongside her son, Tom, and daughter, Charmaine. Dorie's love for her family was unconditional. She was also "Mom" and "Grandma Dorie" to so many others. There are many family friends who shared a special place in Dorie's life: Wayne and Lynn Kruger; Earle and Lorna Gehl; and Cory, Melanie, Kally and Jacey Bates.
