Passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord, surrounded by her loving family and friends, on Friday, August 7, 2015, Marilyn Thistle, age 60. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: sons Jason (Glenda) Thistle, Trevor (Heather) Thistle; her precious grandchildren Tyson, Joseph, Marlee, Kenna; sisters and brothers Shirley (Heber) Blundell, Wes (Helen Park, Evelyn (Lin) Laite, Lloyd (Marie Green); sisters- and brothers-in-law Gordon (Gwen), Calvin (Sylvia), Harvey (Jenny); special friends Paulette (Barry) Lambert, Nina (Stan) Parsons and Nancy (Colin) Cambell; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, others relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband George, parents Joseph & Viola Verge, and mother- & father-in-law Harvey & Miriam Thistle.
Visitation was held Sunday, August 9 from Penney’s Funeral Home. Her funeral service was held Monday, August 10 at 2 p.m. from the Carol United Church, with Rev. S. Dean Sellars officiating. Interment followed at the Labrador City Community Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted, or donations may be made to the Carol United Church fund.
