It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Dr. Ian Wilson Brown, born January 29, 1932. He passed very peacefully on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, Prince Edward Island, with the full and certain love of his wife Beverly Joan Brown, his sons Jim and Matt, his daughter Jennifer, his son-in-law Mark, his brother Bill, his sister-in-law Ann, his granddaughter Sadie and his grandson Aidan.
He was a much loved and respected history professor at Prince Of Wales College in Charlottetown, and later at Algoma University in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. His family (pets included) and his students were his great passions.
Donations can be made to the New London Fire Department and Prince County Hospital.
A private family service will be held in New Glasgow, Prince Edward Island.
