Helen MacLean

MacLEAN, HELEN
Helen Catherine (Moase) McLean, born July 24, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Ethel Moase (New Annan, PEI). She died November 13, 2015 at Drumlin Hills, Bridgewater. She was with family in the peace of her home. Her husband, the Rev. George H. MacLean, passed away in July.
Blessed to be family are children, Catherine and Earl (Andrew and Hannah), David and Terri (Carsten and Myra), John and Sherry (Josie and Duncan), George and Laura Lee (Hilary and Abigail), Susan and Chris; her brother Clifford, and her sister Evelyn (Milt Combs), and many nephews and nieces.
Predeceased by brother, Keith; sisters-in-law Norma and Joyce; nephews Brian and Jim, and brother-in-law Don.
Helen loved the classroom: graduating from Mount Allison University, teaching in Shizuoka, Japan, and being Dean of Women at the United Church School in Naramata, BC.
Helen and George found great joy in their church communities. Helen’s interests included CGIT, UCW, the deaf community, quilting, reading, and many friends.
After generous donations following George's death, Helen's wish is that you find a way to give someone an unexpected helping hand.
She willed her remains for medical research at Dalhousie University. Her memorial service will take place 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 23 in West Side United Church, Pentz. Rev. Neil McEwen officiating.
