Charles Godfrey Gibson, aged 79 passed away on Nov. 21, 2015 at his home in Cambridge, Ont.
Charlie was the son of the late Mary (Mullins) and James Godfrey Gibson. He was born in Glace Bay, but grew up in New Waterford.
Charlie served 12 years with the Canadian Navy, and after his service he moved his family to Ontario, working as a electronics technician until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Georgina (Leadbeater); sons, Glenn, Terry (Heather), Kevin and Derick, all in Ontario. Four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his sister, Lorraine (Jackie) Head, River Ryan, N.S., sisters-in-law, Kay Mullins, Sabine Gibson, also a number of nieces and nephews, all mourn his loss.
Besides his parents, Charlie was predeceased by brothers, Greg Mullins, Jimmie and Terry Gibson.
Following Charlie’s wishes there will be no visitation, cremation has taken place, with graveside service to be held Nov. 27th in New Hope Cemetery, Cambridge, Ont.
