Peacefully, with family by his side, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Saturday, February 27, 2016 of Joseph Alphonse “Cullie” Gallant of Charlottetown, age 84 years.
Beloved husband of the late Guelda (Williams) Gallant. Adored father of Clare Gallant, Randy (Charlene) Gallant, Terri Gallant (Reggie Affleck), Ray Gallant (Deanna James), Kathy (Paul) Weatherbie and Bobby (Tanya) Gallant. Loving grandfather of thirteen grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his stepmother Mary Gallant of Georgetown and step brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by his parents Jerry and Flora (Zear) Gallant.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Tuesday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. There will be no visiting hours by personal request.
If so desired, contributions in memory of Alphonse may be made to the P.E.I. Humane Society or the Provincial Palliative Care Centre.
