1942 – 2016
Carol Woods of Briarlea Special Care Home passed away at her residence on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Marion (McLean) Anderson.
Carol was a retired nurse with over 40 years of service. She was an enthusiastic woman who loved reading, walking, spending time with her family, being active in her church and community along with her many trips south to Florida.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, Dan; daughter, Kari Lynne Goodwin (Carl) of Moncton; son, Brent Preston (Bernice) of Thunder Bay, ON; sister, Dale Keehn of Bathurst; niece, Stacy Lee; step-children, Bonnie, Angie, Stephen and Dana; and grandchildren, Morgan, Brett, Bobbi, Bradley, Nick, Brooklyn, Brianna, Jori, Josh, Ricky and Brittany;
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 1:30 to 4:00pm. A service celebrating Carol’s life will take place on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 11:00am with Rev. Charles Cook officiating. Immediately following the service, the family will be having a reception at Bethel Presbyterian Church (600 Coverdale Rd.).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society, The Moncton School of Nursing Alumni, or Friends of The Moncton Hospital.
