Bruce McDonald of Cambridge Ont., born April 1966, best friend and loving husband to Lynda (Arsenault), passed away peacefully of ALS at age 50 on April 14, 2016, at Wellington Hospice.
Bruce will be missed by his sisters, Gail (Leonard) Barrington and Wendy (Cosimo) Biffi; as well as his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bruce and Carol Holland of Winnipeg. His nieces, Alison and Emma Biffi, and his nephews, Cory and Logan Barrington, will miss him dearly.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Raymond (Lex) and Dorothy McDonald (Jury), and his brother, William. He will also be missed his many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many childhood friends, Chris and Heather Sampson, Laurel and Tara Sampson, Gerald and Nancy Locke, and Henry and Dorothy Williamson.
Bruce was born in Montreal but his heart belonged to Cape Breton. Bruce had many passions including playing and listening to music, mountain biking, playing hockey, golfing, fishing, online gaming and his beloved Montreal Canadiens. Bruce also wore many hats including serving in the militia, heavy duty mechanic, and a brilliant CNC machinist.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in his beloved Cape Breton.
