WINTERS, Lyndall H., RCMP Superintendent (Retired)
August 25, 1928- November 11, 2016
Following a brief but brave battle with cancer. Lyn leaves behind his wife Janet (Cameron), son Greg and wife Sandra (Walker), daughter Ellyn and husband Jim Robinson and grandchildren Graeme and Cameron Anne Robinson. Will be greatly missed by sister Joyce Rogers, sister-in-law Louise Wilson and nieces Vicki Jensen and Jeanne Harvie and Veralyn (Rogers) Bonner. We are sure that heaven will be more law abiding, more litter-free and the gardens well tended now that Lyn is there. Let’s hope there is also lots of ice cream on hand, as Lyn loved his heaping bowl of chocolate or cherry vanilla.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Lyn's life will be held at the RCMP National Memorial Cemetery at Beechwood Cemetery in Ottawa on December 3rd. Interment at 11 AM, followed by a celebration of Lyn’s life from 11:30 - 1:30 at Beechwood Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Parkinson’s Association of Canada are appreciated in lieu of flowers. Lyn donated blood more than 100 times over his lifetime and was a supporter of organ donation, so a donation of the gift of life in his honour would also be welcomed.
