MUTLOW - Eva Mutlow (nee Mills) passed away peacefully on January 23, 2017 at the age of 78, at The Meadows long term care facility in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Eva was pre-deceased by her parents John Wesley and Louisa Mills (nee Bryan), 3 brothers Clarence, Lloyd and George and 1 sister Margaret, sister in law Alice, brother in law Harold, mother in law Hazel, father in law Roland. Eva is survived by her husband of 52 years, Larry; 1 son Michael Mutlow (Rita) and 2 daughters Lorely Mutlow (Dave) and Gaylene Goebel (Derek); six grandchildren Scott Mutlow, Carli Mutlow, Braden Martens, Dacie Martens, Ryan Goebel and Adam Goebel; sisters Bertha Mills, Esther Tumak (Tony), Ella Arenson (Charlie); 3 brothers Alfred Mills (Lenore), James Mills (Alice), Ralph Mills (Doreen); sister-in-laws Esther (Lloyd), Viola (George), Ann (Clarence), Valerie (Jim), Donna (John) and Cheryl (Don). As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eva was born on the family farm at Endeavor, Saskatchewan on April 22, 1938. She was the youngest of eleven children. After graduation she went on to Moose Jaw Teachers College where she obtained her teaching certificate. Eva taught in several schools including Lone Spruce (Hazel Dell), Rockford, Lacadena, White Bear, and finally Kyle where she retired from teaching in 1997. She married Larry Mutlow on July 12, 1963 and they settled on the Mutlow family farm south east of White Bear where they remained until 2011 when they moved into Swift Current. Eva enjoyed knitting and crocheting, gardening and doing puzzles. She had a smile for everyone. Anyone stopping at the farm for coffee could be sure to be treated to homemade cookies. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Kyle Health Centre and The Meadows for the excellent care they gave to Eva over the last couple of years. The funeral service for Eva will be held on Friday February 3rd at 2pm at the Kyle Hall. Lunch to follow. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
