Kenneth Daniel Brooks, 72, Bible Hill, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 in the Victoria General Hospital, QE II, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Kenneth was born in Moncton, N.B. and was the son of the late Guy and Helen (Ricker) Brooks. He was an employee of CNCP Telecommunications for 35 years until retirement in 1985. Kenneth will be lovingly remembered for his enthusiasm for life and for the joy he found in helping others. He was a bowler, dart and pool player and spent many hours enjoying his favourite pas times. His family will remember him for his fantastic sense of humour and as a great story teller who loved to sit around with his boys laughing about younger years. He is survived by his loving wife Beulah (DeCoste) and three sons, Daniel (Sharon), Darren (Sheryl) and Curtis; two beautiful granddaughters whom he loved very much, Christina and Jillian, all of Bible Hill, N.S.; two nephews, Donald Jr., (and family), and Collin, both of Moncton, N.B. He was the last remaining triplet and son being predeceased by triplet siblings Harry and Joan and eldest brother, Donald. Visitation will be tonight, from 7 - 9 p.m. at Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, Prince Street, Truro with Father Cairns officiating. Spring interment will be in Bible Hill Cemetery, Truro. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, N.S. or to Immaculate Conception Church, Truro.
