Kathleen Caine died in Truro, N.S. on Feb. 27, 2007. Born in Montreal, Que. she was the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Green) Meadows. She worked briefly prior to her marriage for Robin Hood Mills and Bell Telephone in Montreal. Married in 1937, she assisted her husband throughout his career, and enjoyed entertaining, bowling and curling for many years. She resided previously in Mississauga, Montreal, Edmonton and Winnipeg, where she was very active in volunteer work, especially with the Winnipeg Children's Hospital. Until her death she continued to be a member of the Manitoba Club in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick J., her brother Peter, and sisters May, Florence, Helen, Ruth, Theresa, Murial and Ethel. She is survived by her son Ross, daughter-in-law Coleene (Hiltz), grandson Jason (Lisa Herrett), and great-grandson Devin (her "Sunshine"), all of Truro, and sisters Lillian of Mississauga, and Beverley of Ottawa. Cremation arrangements by Halifax Regional Crematorium, Dartmouth, N.S. Burial to take place in Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, Que. at a later date. In memory, donations may be made to charity of choice.
