Alice Elizabeth Beament, 95, of Valley, Colchester County, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in East Ham, England, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary (Rogers) Moore. Alice volunteered as a fundraiser in a school in Georgetown, Ont. for 25 years where she received a plaque of gratitude from the mayor. She was well known and was very well liked. She is survived by a son David (Deborah) of Churchville, Ont.; daughter Margaret (Tony) Jacobs, of Valley; seven grandchildren, Graham, Yvonne, Lee, Donna, Mark, Dan, Lindsay; eight great-grandchildren, Jason, Mitchell, Darren, Evan, Harley, Shelby, Sierra, Emily; family in England. She was predeceased by her husband Charles George Beament; daughters Iris, Sylvia in infancy. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro. Rev. Brian DeLong will officiate with a reception to follow in the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley.
