FRIESEN – Ruth Louise Friesen, 76, of Herbert, SK, peacefully passed away on to her eternal home, Monday, January 25, 2010, in Herbert & District Integrated Health Facility. A celebration of her life has not been set at this time. Ruth was born on January 27, 1933, to Bertha and Reinhold Maser in the Leduc, AB, area. She attended school in that area and later graduated from Canadian Northwest Bible College in Edmonton. She worked as a legal secretary. She married Melvin Friesen on September 3, 1960, and lived in several locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Baja Peninsula of Mexico and most recently Herbert, SK. She is survived by her husband Melvin; sons, Murray (Maryanne) (Camrose) and Michael (Lacombe); grandson, Christopher; brother Armen (Audrey) Maser (Edmonton); and sister Betty McAllister (Victoria); and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents.
