At Trillium Retirement Home, Norwich, Ontario on Monday, January 25, 2010, Evelyn Vivian Smart in her 87th year. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Ada (Crossman) Garland. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Smart (1990). She will be sadly missed by her children Reg (Barbara) Sandy (Paul) Barrey, Jim (Gwen) and Alan(Jean), 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Audrey and husband Frank Robinson of Moncton, N.B. and brother Clement Garland of Penticton, B.C. Predeceased by granddaughter Cindy Bullen, and brother Allison Garland.
Funeral service was held at the Arn-Lockie funeral home on Saturday, January 30, 2010 with Captains Owen and Sandra Budden officiating. Interment in New Durham Cemetery.
