PICTOU – Carol Ann Jenkins, 63, Pictou, passed away August 17, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Carol was born on March 23, 1945, in Halifax to Ethel Blackett, and the late Kenneth Blackett. She is survived by her husband, Lester Jenkins; and her four children: Lyle (Donna), Wanita (Martin), Shane (Terri) and Shelly (Jerry). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Jade, Tylor, Zachary, Lyle Joseph, Caleb-Dain, Liam and Ethan; and her siblings: John (Marilyn), Danny (Sue), and Lynn (Danny). She will also be missed by a large extended family of several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the IWK Children’s Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Service, Pictou.
