PORTER, ROBERT EDWARD The death of Robert E. Porter of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Wednesday, July 24th, 2002. Born in Bairdsville, NB, he was the son of the late Robert Rayburn and Ada Maude (Miller) Porter. Robert served in the R. C. A. F. from 1940 to 1967 and was employed by the Construction Industry of New Brunswick for 15 years, retiring in 1985. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; sons, Robin (Jan) of Wolfville, NS, Peter (Dianne) of Charlottetown, PEI and Chris (Alice) of Sackville, NB and seven grandchildren. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26th, 2002 at 2:00 pm in the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel. Rev. Paul Ross will officiate. Interment will follow in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
