WHEELER, EDGAR LESLIE The death of Edgar Leslie Wheeler, husband of Phyllis (Savage) Wheeler, occurred on Friday, Aug 9,2002. Born in Woodstock NB. He was the son of the late William and Claudine (Campbell) Wheeler. Edgar enjoyed the game of hockey, his vegetable garden, jigsaw puzzles, working in the woods and the most important of all his family. He was a veteran of World War II. Edgar was survived by three sons; John William Wheeler and his fiancée (Wendy Gallant) of Fredericton, NB, Dwayne Timothy Wheeler and his partner (Bonnie Jean George) of Fredericton, NB, and David Patrick Wheeler of Fredericton, NB; four daughters Bonita Lee Sturney of Fredericton, NB, Laurel Lyn Wheeler of Fredericton, NB, Debra Price and her husband (Tony) of Fredericton, NB, and Jeanne Anne Mugford and her fiancée (John Arens) of St. Thomas, On; three brothers Orval Wheeler and his wife (Agnes) of Ontario, Leonard Wheeler and his wife (Marie) of Ontario and John Wheeler of Fredericton, NB; five sisters Anna Saunders and her husband (Clayton) of Woodstock, NB, Zula Galarneau of Maine, Clara Billings of Alberta, Iva Jones of Woodstock, NB, and Minnie Blackie of South Carolina ; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Harold Wheeler; two sisters Viola Demeranchant and Janet Kerrigan. Visitation will be held from York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton, NB, on Monday, August 12, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 2pm from the Douglas Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Horsman officiating. Burial will follow in the Dayton Cemetery. For those who wish remembrance to the Douglas Baptist Church Memorial Fund or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
