DREW, BERNICE IRENE Bernice Irene Drew, age 88, of Amherst died Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Fort Lawrence, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Christina (Ripley) Doncaster. In her younger years Bernice taught school in Narland, Kings Co. and Brookville, Cumberland Co. She enjoyed knitting and her flower gardens. She was a member of the Amherst Open Bible Church. She also was a Sunday School Teacher. Bernice is survived by three daughters, Rhoda (John) Cogswell of Centreville, NB, Sylvia Drew of Moncton, NB, and Mary (Arthur) Babineau of Amherst, three sons Gilbert (Irma) and Gordon (Kim) both of Moncton, NB, and James (Karen) of Fredericton, NB, one sister Hazel Rushton of Saint John, NB, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her husband Vernon in 1995. Her remains are resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church Street, Amherst with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. from Campbell's chapel with Pastor Jamie Grooms officiating. Interment will follow in the Amherst Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the N.S.
