BARTON, GEORGE EVERETT George Everett Barton of Minto, N.B. passed away at the Queen's North Health Complex on Thursday October 31, 2002 at the age of 83. Our hearts are broken with his passing of a wonderful husband, father , grandfather and brother. He was the son of the late Claude and Effie Barton. He was a faithful member of the Full Gospel Pentecost Church. He was an active participant and Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He was a retired supervisor of NB Coal Ltd. of Minto, NB. He loved fishing and hunting and spending time with his family. H is survived by his wife, Lillian M. Barton; four daughters, June Maston (Roy), Gail Shirley (Ernest), Dawn Maranda (Danny) all of Minto, NB and Cheryl Thebeau (Joe) of Nackawic, NB; two sons, Clifton Barton (Sheila) of Chipman, NB and Kevin Barton (Marlene) of Minto, NB; two brothers, Ronald Barton (Doris), Norman Barton both of Minto, NB; two sisters Pearl Hoyt of Saint John, NB and Ethel Carr (Stewart) of Minto; 24 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Reginald E. Barton; a grandson Bradley Barton; his parents, Claude and Effie Barton and baby sister Hazel Barton. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home, 327-3490 with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 2, 2002 from the Full Gospel Pentecostal Church, Minto, NB with Pastor William Murphy officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Full Gospel Pentecostal Cemetery or the donors choice.
