DONALD WALLACE CAMPBELL

CAMPBELL, DONALD WALLACE The death of Donald Wallace Campbell of Fredericton, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on April 27th, 2003. Born in Devon, NB he was the son of the late Wallace "Joe" and Ethel (Crouse) Campbell and husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Dominiuk) Campbell. Donald graduated from high school in Chipman, NB. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in the Royal Canadian Regiment as a paratrooper and was a veteran of the Korean War. Donald joined the Royal Canadian Air Force as a pilot and attained the rank of Flying Officer. He worked as a fire fighter for the City of Fredericton for 28 years and was a Captain when he retired on November 3rd, 1994. Survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Michael of Fredericton, NB and D. Scott (Angela MacLean) of Halifax, NS; daughters, Debora White (Alan) of Fredericton, NB and Tammy Johnstone (Gordon) of Riverview, NB; sisters, Joan Phelps of Virginia, USA, Joyce Mulvihill (Paul) of St. Andrew's, NB and Patricia Durling (Burt) of New Maryland, NB; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Holly Johnstone of Riverview, NB and Alex White of Fredericton, NB and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald is predeceased by his parents. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 29th, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #4 holding a tribute service at 7 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 30th, 2003 at 12:00 noon. Monsignor Brian Sheehan as celebrant. Interment will take place in the Hermitage Cemetery. Memorial tributes made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family. www.mcadamsfh.com
