GERALD FRANKLYN REDMOND

REDMOND, GERALD FRANKLYN Gerald Franklyn Redmond - 74, of Kentville, Nova Scotia, formerly of Medford Beach, Kings County, Nova Scotia, passed away Friday, July 18, 2003 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Mosher River, Halifax County, he was a son of the late Alexander and Christina (Fancy) Redmond. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces retiring after 23 years. He also worked at the Kings County Correctional Centre, Waterville and as a Commissionaire at Camp Aldershot. He was a former member of the Black Watch Regiment. He is survived by his wife, the former Joan Willis, Kentville; three sons, Gerald (Frances), Keswick Ridge, NB; Robert (Paula), Ancaster, Ontario; John (Anne), Medford Beach, Kings County; sister, Phyllis (Douglas) Carter, Truro; brother Ralph (Sara), Fredericton, NB, seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Sigrid Gillis and Shirley Chase. A gathering of family and friends will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2003 in the W.C. Hiltz / White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the W.C. Hiltz / White Funeral Home, Kentville.
