MEARL IRENE LANGIN THOMPSON
THOMPSON, MEARL IRENE LANGIN The death of Mearl Irene Langin Thompson of the Nashwaak Villa, Stanley, wife of the late Howard Thompson, occurred on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at her residence at the age of 89. Born in Arthurette, NB, she was a daughter of the late George Langin and Clara (Bishop) Langin. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by five daughters, Loletta Little (Gerald) of Salem, NH, Betty Thompson of London, ON, Evangeline Neilson (Harry) of Richmond, BC, Joan Hood (Darrell) of Stanley, and Geraldine Storey (Richard) of London, ON; one son, George Thompson (Donna) of Fredericton; three sisters, Fern Egers of Moncton, Una Gardino of Waterbury, CT, and Clara Hatfield (Harold) of Woodstock; 12 grandchildren, Cindy, Karen, Christopher, Geraldine, Kim, Alison, Tim, Heather, Tracy, Nancy, Jennifer and Darren; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Thompson was predeceased by a daughter, Juanita; a grandson, Jack; a granddaughter Susan; a great granddaughter, Ann; a great grandson, Alexander; and three brothers, Ebin, Logan, and Herbie. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 2 pm from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Adamson officiating. There will be a reception to follow at York Funeral Home's Fireside room. Interment will be at a later date in the Red Bank Cemetery, Chipman.
