ELDON LUTHER BRAWN

BRAWN, ELDON LUTHER The passing of Eldon Luther Brawn of Ludlow, husband of the late Vera (Murray) Brawn, occurred at home on Friday February 27th after a courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Ludlow on April 10, 1933 he is the son of the late Odbur and Hallie (Palmer) Brawn. Eldon was a member of Saint James The Greater Anglican Church, Ludlow and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 78, Boiestown. He found great pleasure playing crib, darts and woodworking. Eldon is survived by daughters Sherri Brawn (Marty Wilson) of Ludlow, Shawna McAleer (Michael) of Boiestown; grandchildren, Christopher Pond, Savanah Price, Jesse Wilson and Charity Wilson; brothers, Cameron Palmer (Eva) of Sussex, Victor Brawn (Della) of Fredericton, Hilton Brawn (Vera) of New Bandon, and Ashley Brawn (Rowena) of Ludlow; several nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Wilda Morrison of Saint John. Besides his wife and parents, Eldon was predeceased by brothers Ensley Brawn, Phillip Lyons, Byron Brawn and sister Greta Gilks. Visitation at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Legion Tribute Service was held Sunday at 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Saint James The Greater Anglican Church, Ludlow on Monday, March 1, at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Titus officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment in the adjoining cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers for the service will be Blair Brawn, Kevin Brawn, Billy Brawn, Allen Gilks, Jasper Carr and Nolen Lyons. Honourary pallbearers will be Clements Lyons, Merle Hunter, Merlin Pond, Gerald Hovey, James Strachan, and Gordon Hovey.
