PICTOU – John Keiller MacKay, 79, of Plainfield and Pictou, passed away peacefully Nov.9, 2008 in the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou. Born in Plainfield, he was a son of the late Mary (McCara) and Charles E. MacKay. He was predeceased by his brother, Dr. Alward MacKay. Surviving are sister, Lois (Fraser) MacLean, Braeshore; niece, Sheila (Mike) Tobin, Braeshore; sister-in-law, Yvonne MacKay, Charlottetown; nephews, Dr. Robert MacKay, Windsor, Ontario; David MacKay, Charlottetown. Cremation has taken place. No visitation or funeral service. A private family committal service will be held in Bethel Cemetery, Scotsburn. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Service, Pictou.
