BARKER, VOLA RIDEOUT The death of Vola Rideout Barker of Fredericton, NB, occurred at home on Wednesday, February 9th, 2005. Born in Knowlesville, NB, she was the daughter of the late William and Ida (Corey) McBrine and the wife of Archibald C. Barker. Vola was a long time member of Brunswick Street Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the IODE Sir Howard Douglas and the Eastern Star Celestial Chapter 3. Survived by her daughter-in-law Jennie Barker of New Maryland, NB; grandchildren, Philip Barker (Shirley) of New Maryland, Judy McCammon (Bill) of Burtts Corner, NB; three great grandchildren, Kelly Take (Andy) of Kingston, ON, Marjorie (Jason Brewer) of New Maryland, NB and Megan of New Maryland, NB; one great-great- grandchild, Katelyn Brewer and Oliver Take; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband; Archibald; one son, William Barker; brothers, Claude, Jud, George, Lorne and Leland; sisters, Clara, Nessie, Ellen ("Nellie") Kathleen ("Kay") and Lucretia. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Sunday, February 13th, 2005 from 2-4 pm, The Eastern Star Celestial Chapter 3 will hold a tribute service at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Monday, February 14th, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Ralph Irving will officiate.
