ABERCROMBIE - Reta Odessa (Mitchell) Sinclair, of Abercrombie, passed away Monday, March 12, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Isabel (Burns) Mitchell. She was the former owner/operator of Abercrombie Grocery. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow; IODE Sir Frederick Bant-ing Chapter; the Aberdeen Hospital Auxiliary; former president Abercrombie Ladies Curling Club and she was very active in cubs. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Alvin; daughter, Bridget (Brad) Drane, Halifax; sons, David (Ellen), Sutherlands River; Barry (Darlene), New Glasgow; grandchildren: Sara, Mitchell, Heidi, Carla, Nicholas, Andrew; sisters, Rose (George) Ross, Trenton; Betty (Leslie) Milne, Woodburn; brother, Harvey, Trenton. She was predeceased by sisters, Velma Forshner and Donelda Fox; brothers, Burns "Bud" and Lauchie. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm. today in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday from First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow, with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in Abercrombie Cemetery. Reception will follow in Abercrombie Community Centre. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
